Even before their upcoming nuptials, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are already at the top of the list of the greatest sports/entertainment power couples of all time.
Recency bias? Maybe a little, but this dynamic duo certainly has the credentials, never mind the overwhelming media attention and the massive social media following for both.
Do any other sports/entertainment power couples come close to Taylor and Travis? Here’s a look at those who at least make the list…
Ranking the top sports/entertainment power couples of all time
Note: This is a list of sports AND entertainment couples, so a list of all-sports power couples — like Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, or Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe — is different. This is a completely subjective list, based on a combination of career accomplishments and relationship longevity. Feel free to suggest any other power couples in the comment section.

8. Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio

If only this marriage had lasted, Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio could have been No. 1 on this list. After all, we’re talking about someone who was said to be the most photographed woman of the 20th century marrying a baseball Hall of Famer — a New York Yankee, for that matter — whose 56-game hitting streak is considered one of the sport’s most unbreakable records.
DiMaggio had been retired for a year when these two met in 1952. They married in 1954, a year after Monroe starred in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. But DiMaggio was reportedly not comfortable being married to an international sex symbol, prone to fits of jealousy and rage. The couple divorced after nine months. Years later, they became close, plutonic friends. After Monroe committed suicide in 1962, it was DiMaggio who arranged the funeral.
7. Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld

Despite being the youngest power couple on our list, these two already have impressive credentials. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was the NFL MVP in 2024. Hailee Steinfeld was just 14 years old in 2011 when she was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress in the movie True Grit. More recently, Steinfeld received critical acclaim for her supporting role in 2025’s Sinners.
Things have moved quickly for this power couple. They met in 2023 and were married in May 2025. They just had their first child, a baby girl, this past April.
6. Jane Russell and Bob Waterfield

This power couple didn’t meet when they were famous. Jane Russell and Bob Waterfield were high school sweethearts in Southern California. When they married in 1943, the 22-year-old Russell starred in her first movie, The Outlaw, while the 23-year-old Waterfield was an All-America quarterback at UCLA.
Russell went on to star in more than 20 films in the 1940s and ‘50s, including Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with Marilyn Monroe. Like Monroe, she was considered an international sex symbol. Waterfield went on to play for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL, where he won two league championships, an MVP award and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Russell and Waterfield were married for 25 years and adopted three children, but they divorced in 1968.
5. Kate Upton and Justin Verlander

The year 2017 was big for super-model Kate Upton and three-time Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander. Early in the year, Upton appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for the third time. On November 2, Verlander won the first of two World Series titles with the Houston Astros. Two days later, Upton and Verlander were married in a medieval church in Tuscany, Italy.
The couple has been together ever since, and they have two young children.
4. Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

Actress Gabrielle Union and basketball star Dwyane Wade have been a power couple since 2008 (two years after Wade was NBA Finals MVP with the Miami Heat), though they didn’t get married until 2014 (a year after Wade won his third NBA title with the Heat).
Wade has since retired. Union is still active in movies and television, though both of these stars also stay busy with various production work and many philanthropic causes. In 2023, the couple won the President’s Award at the NAACP Image Awards, in recognition of their distinguished public service.
3. Russell Wilson and Ciara

Ciara has a Grammy to her credit, and she was named Woman of the Year at the Billboard Music Awards in 2008. That year, Russell Wilson was still playing college football at N.C. State. It wasn’t until 2011 that he transferred to Wisconsin, where he became a star and then got drafted by the Seattle Seahawks, with whom he won Super Bowl XLVIII after the 2013 season.
Ciara and Wilson met in 2015, at a University of Wisconsin basketball game, of all places. They got married just one year later, in a castle in Cheshire, England. They’ve been sports/entertainment royalty ever since. In addition to being red carpet veterans, the couple has three children together.
2. Victoria and David Beckham

Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice of the Spice Girls, married international soccer star David Beckham in 1999, and they remain a power couple to this day. They’re essentially international pop culture royalty.
Victoria — who parlayed her singing career into a highly successful fashion business — was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2017. David, meanwhile, a Hall of Fame footballer who is the only English soccer player to win titles in four different countries, achieved knighthood in 2025.
1. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Did we mention impressive credentials? Swift has won 14 Grammy Awards and is the highest-grossing live music artist of all time. Kelce is a three-time Super Bowl champion, a future Pro Football Hall of Famer who ranks among the greatest tight ends in NFL history. And even though Kelce likely will be retiring after the 2026 NFL season, he’s already shown he’s got the chops to entertain. Don’t expect this power couple to be far from the spotlight after they get married.
