Sports and internet personality Skip Bayless has been very controversial with his hot takes in the sporting world.
But his reaction to the blockbuster trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat involving superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo received positive reactions from fans.
In the aftermath of the deal, Bayless posted his reaction on X, saying, “The Bucks will be better than people think.”
The reception to this statement from Bayless was mostly positive, and fans finally found something agreeable from the outspoken 74-year-old.
“Thanks skip. Your takes are normally accurate,” a fan said.
“Something we can agree on…they a play in team maybe higher now,” a reaction read.
“This is the first thing I agree with you one. I’ll add nanother… heat will miss the playoffs!!!” another user stated.
“New coach, new scheme, and no more paint clogging,” a reader said.
“Yes they will. They have a good core already. Giannis turned into a distraction and now he’s gone. Onward and upward,” another added.
“I’m tryna tell people. Don’t sleep because this can be generational rebuild just like OKC,” a reaction read.
Milwaukee shipped the former two-time league MVP and one-time NBA champion, along with Bobby Portis, to Miami in exchange for four players and five future draft picks.
Players included in the trade were Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakučionis, who will now suit up for the Bucks.
They hope to rebuild this season with newly hired coach Tyler Jenkins, who helped turn the Memphis Grizzlies into a winning team during his tenure there at the helm.
The Bucks finished 11th in the Eastern Conference last season with a record of 32-50. This involved an injury-plagued season and a tumultuous locker room — one that they hope to move on from after parting ways with Antetokounmpo.
