The Phoenix Suns have been one of the surprise teams in the NBA this season as they currently sit seventh in the Western Conference standings with a 42-33 record.
Of course, Phoenix missed the playoffs last season, which caused them to make major changes to their roster in the offseason that included them trading Kevin Durant and buying out Bradley Beal.

Now with their new-look roster led by Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green, Phoenix has positioned themselves to make at least the Play-In Tournament this season as they have put together a successful season after last year’s disappointing ending.
While the Suns have put together a solid season thus far, they have dealt with injuries to some of their key players, including Brooks, though they did receive a positive update regarding their veteran forward on Tuesday ahead of their road matchup against the Orlando Magic.

Ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Magic, AZ Central’s Duane Rankin reported that Brooks is set to return on Tuesday in the second night of Phoenix’s back-to-back.
This is massive news for the Suns as Brooks had missed the last 18 games due to a fractured left hand that he suffered on Feb. 21 against the Magic.
Of course, Brooks had played a major role for the Suns on both ends of the court before suffering his hand injury as he had put together arguably the best season of his career.

This season, the 30-year-old forward is averaging 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 44.0% from the field and 34.3% from three.
Now with Brooks set to return for the Suns, they will get back one of their key offensive weapons to pair alongside Booker and Green, along with an elite defender.

While Brooks is set to return on Tuesday against the Magic, it would not be a surprise to see the Suns limit his minutes in his first few games back.
Despite this, having him back on the court could be a major boost for Phoenix as they continue to fight for the sixth seed in the West and avoid the Play-In Tournament with the regular season winding down.
