The “stunning” Ole Miss Rebels fan who went viral on ESPN on Sunday evening has been publicly identified.
Ole Miss topped Louisville, 41-38, in an exciting Week 1 college football game. The Rebels topped the Cardinals with a game-winning 48-yard field goal. Ole Miss, which lost head coach Lane Kiffin to LSU, is hoping to contend for a College Football Playoff spot this season. The Rebels got off to a good start on Sunday evening.
But the Rebels also had a fan going viral in the stands in a big way.
An Ole Miss fan went super viral on social media after ESPN’s cameraman zoomed in on a female Rebels fan in the crowd.
“The cameraman at the Ole Miss – Louisville game understood the assignment. Bro zoomed in. I’M CRYING 😂,” one fan wrote.
The fan has since been identified.

The Ole Miss fan has been publicly identified as Sara Smith. She is a massive Ole Miss Rebels fan.

“I think we all know why she’s going viral,” another fan joked.
Ultimately, it was a big win for the Rebels, who are starting off the 2026 college football regular season in a big way, with an impressive win over Louisville.
Ole Miss is starting over in the post-Lane Kiffin era and it looks like they’ll be in good shape moving forward.
The Rebels will carry an impressive 1-0 record heading into Week 2, as they look to contend in the SEC and for a prestigious spot in the College Football Playoff later this year.
Perhaps we’ll see more of the Ole Miss Rebels fan moving forward in the year, as well.
