The ex-girlfriend of U.S. Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik has denied a growing rumor about their breakup.
Nedoroscik, who won two bronze medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, broke up with his girlfriend of 10 years, Tess McCracken. The couple started dating in 2016 during their time at Penn State. They had been together for a decade.
However, the couple has broken up.
A rumor has been swirling, suggesting that political differences were to blame for the breakup. McCracken has "reluctant floridian" in her social media profile. However, that's not the case.
McCracken made it clear that politics were not to blame.
"I can assure you it was not. We are both very blue," she wrote in response to the speculation about the breakup.
McCracken released statement on the breakup
“Stephen and I are no longer together,” Tess, 28, said in an April 4 TikTok video, “and we haven’t been since the beginning of January.”
Her social media feeds have been wiped.
“[My] social media has been cleaned out,” she explained. “I can’t post anything now without getting at least a few comments and I know there have been multiple Reddit threads. And so, I feel like it’s just easier to have it out in the open and not really have to hide it anymore.”
McCracken admitted that it was "just time."
“There was no drama,” she said. “It was really just time, and that sucks a lot. There’s really no other way to put it. We were together for almost 10 years. We met and got together when we were 17 and 18, and we’re now 27 and 28.”
We wish them both the best moving forward.
