ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith is facing backlash this Friday for linking up with the president of the United States.
While on Fox News this week, Kid Rock revealed that he had dinner at the White House with President Trump. He said Bill Maher and Stephen A. Smith were at this dinner to discuss a handful of hot topics.
“Stephen A. Smith was very much engaged and talking about unemployment in Black woman and the funding of HBCUs,” Kid Rock said.
Smith, who was on “First Take” this Friday morning, let his social media followers know that he’ll address his dinner with Trump on his YouTube show, “Straight Shooter.” Sports fans, however, aren’t interested in hearing his side to the story.

“Man called you Stupid and you are eating with Him?” a fan wrote on X. “It’s all about $$ with these guys. No integrity or morals.”
“God I wish you would just go away,” a second fan tweeted at Smith.
“You’re so unbelievably lame bro. I’m actually embarrassed for you,” a third fan commented.
“This man called you a low IQ individual and you still went to have dinner with him,” another fan commented. “What a joke you are.”
Stephen A. Smith and President Trump have history.
Back in June, the president of the United States attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals. After the New York Knicks’ playoff winning streak came to an end, Smith called out Trump on national television.
Trump fired back at Smith on social media, referring to the ESPN personality as an “arrogant fool” and “loudmouth.”
“Stephen A. Smith is an arrogant fool, a low IQ individual. In other words, he’s ‘dumb as a rock,’ and totally unqualified to ever think of running for high political office, or even low political office, for that matter,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “He’d get annihilated in a debate by the most incompetent of politicians. Joe Biden’s now “fabled” performance would look great by comparison to anything that this loudmouth huckster has to offer, which isn’t much! Within a few weeks, they’d laugh him out of politics!!!”
Clearly, sports fans are upset Smith sat down with someone who openly disrespected him.
