Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White was impressed with the back-and-forth between Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers.
The latest matchup between WNBA superstars Clark and Bueckers went down on Friday when the Dallas Wings visited the Indiana Fever on their home floor at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Indiana secured a 98-87 win, with Clark and Bueckers finishing with 29 points apiece.
White was asked during her postgame interview about her thoughts on the two guards' latest on-court battle.
“I mean, I’m sure when you watch it back, there are some areas that we can tighten up, but when you’ve got two great players that create shots for themselves really easily, there are flows of the game that I think you’re going to see that,” White said.
Though White enjoyed the individual battle, she pointed out that the player who gets her teammates more involved will always have the edge.
“I don’t know how many possessions there were, but it was fun to watch for a little while,” White continued. “Then I think the biggest thing is how you get everybody else involved outside of those moments. But I just thought it was two great players making great plays.”
Clark proved White's point right on Friday night. The Fever star dished out more assists than Bueckers, 10 against six. Clark created more opportunities for her teammates, which played a key role in their success.
White and her squad will be back in action on Sunday for a marquee matchup against Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream.
