Stephanie White didn't just lead the Indiana Fever to a win on Friday night, she left her loudest critics speechless.
Even though White is an accomplished coach in the WNBA, some Indiana fans have accused her of sabotaging Clark over the past two years. They're convinced she wants the team to shine when the No. 1 pick isn't on the floor.
Well, White poured cold water on that ridiculous theory this weekend. After the Fever defeated the Dallas Wings at home, White had nothing but praise for Clark's performance (29 points and 10 assists).
"She’s like a maestro, the way that she really runs our offense," White told reporters. "I think when we’re at our best, she is instructing, she is running it much like a show. It’s tough to match up with us when she’s commanding the floor like that."

Fever fans are already changing their tune.
After hearing White's praise for Clark, the Fever fans who have relentlessly criticized her this season decided to pump the brakes and give her a few compliments.
"Best complimentary I've heard from SW on CC," one fan said. "Congrats on the win."
"When asked about CC, only answer about CC. That is all I ask," a second fan wrote.
"It's actually quite amazing to hear her say that," a third fan commented.
With the win on Friday, the Fever improved to 22-12 on the season. They're currently 5.5 games out of first place.
Next up for the Fever is a Sunday showdown with the Atlanta Dream.
