Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry wasn't able to participate in this year's All-Star Weekend festivities. He's dealing with patellofemoral pain syndrome, which is also known as runner's knee.
The injury causes pain in Curry's knee area, forcing the Warriors to sideline him through the All-Star Weekend. Curry last played on Jan. 30 against the Detroit Pistons and has already missed five straight games due to the issue.
Despite not playing, though, Curry still took the time to join the All-Star media day and participate in some practice sessions with his All-Star Game teammates.
On Sunday, before the All-Star Game started, Curry also talked with the NBC broadcast crew and sparked excitement with his comments.

The Warriors superstar revealed his plan to join the 3-Point Contest in the 2027 All-Star Weekend, adding that he has "already scheduled it."
"100%," Curry said when asked if he's doing the 3-Point Contest next year. "I already scheduled it."
Curry went on to say that he plans to bring other superstars to the 3-Point Contest, specifically naming Damian Lillard and Devin Booker. He also mentioned inviting his former Warriors teammate, Klay Thompson.
"We're gonna bring some people, me, Dame," Curry stated. "I'll try and get Klay. Dev. Let's go!"
Lillard won the NBA 3-Point Contest this year, beating Booker and Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel in the final round. The Portland Trail Blazers star has not played a game this 2025-26 season amid his recovery from a torn Achilles, but he joined the competition when the opportunity presented itself.
The Blazers guard is now one of three players to win the 3-Point Contest three times, joining Larry Bird and Craig Hodges.
Curry has won the 3-Point Contest twice in his career (2015 and 2021), so he could join Lillard, Bird and Hodges should he really participate and win it next year.
Thompson and Booker have also won the competition once in their respective careers. That being said, should they participate in 2027 along with Lillard and Curry, fans will be treated to a battle of the champions.
Curry is considered the greatest shooter of all time, and he has the numbers to back it up. He leads the NBA in 3-point field goals made of all time, and he's the only player to have made over 4,000 triples in his career.
That being said, it will be interesting to see if he'll be able to get Lillard, Booker and Thompson to compete with him for a star-studded shooting competition.
