Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were teammates with the Golden State Warriors for 13 years. Together, they won four championships in the span of eight years.

The Warriors, however, parted ways with Thompson in 2024 in a sign-and-trade deal with the Dallas Mavericks. That marked the end of an era not only for Thompson’s tenure with Golden State, but effectively, the conclusion of one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history.

Curry and Thompson were on opposite teams on Monday night. The Warriors traveled to Dallas to battle the Mavs. Golden State secured a much-needed 137-131 win, marking its first victory in four games.

Curry watched his team from the sidelines. The former back-to-back MVP is still dealing with a knee injury and is working his way back. The last time Curry saw action was on Jan. 30, and there is still no firm timetable for his return.

Thompson, on the other hand, came off the bench for the Mavericks. The five-time All-Star logged 15 points and five triples in 28 minutes of action.

Curry and Thompson exchanged pleasantries after the game. The NBA shared a video of Thompson’s postgame interaction with Curry, Draymond Green and a few other former Warriors teammates.

“Always love between Klay, Steph & Dray,” the league posted on X.

Curry and Thompson’s mini-reunion on the court, in particular, drew a lot of attention from the fans on social media.

“Splash brothers forever ♾” a comment on X read.

“This era will be missed more than people realize… real chemistry, real loyalty, real greatness,” another said.

“Legends and teammates for life can not help but respect that bond, BROTHERHOOD is proud 👏👏👏👏👏” wrote a supporter.

“Can't wait to have them next year in the 3point context,” a reaction read.

“No hatred just pure love among the two brothers. Klay and Steph match up is crazy. Unity, brotherhood and unselfish play from them,” said another.

“Real bond never fades, love that ☺️” a fan posted.

Thompson is currently in the second year of his three-year deal with the Mavs. Unless he signs an extension, the 36-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2026-27 season.
