Stephen Curry’s on-court return is drawing closer. He returned to Golden State Warriors' practice on March 31, took part in a 5-on-5 scrimmage and was targeting a possible return against the Houston Rockets on April 5 after missing time with a right-knee issue since Jan. 30.
In the meantime, the team managed to hold on. Golden State is at 36-39, 10th in the West and is bound for the play-in tournament with seven games remaining.
While being sidelined, Curry and his wife, Ayesha, have kept busy off the floor. On Wednesday, Warren Buffett announced he is reviving his famed charity lunch and bringing in the Currys for the first time, per CNBC.
Online bidding on a seat opens May 7 and runs through May 14, with the winner and up to seven guests set to join Buffett, Curry and Ayesha in Omaha on June 24. Proceeds will be split between the Glide Foundation in San Francisco and the four-time NBA champions' Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation in Oakland.

The Glide Foundation, a San Francisco-based nonprofit, has long focused on fighting poverty, homelessness and inequality by providing essential services such as free meals, housing support, health programs and recovery assistance.
On the other side, the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation represents the Currys’ direct investment in their local community. It takes a “whole child” approach by focusing on nutrition, education and physical activity for children in Oakland.
The event is another sign of the couple’s reach beyond basketball. Buffett’s lunch auctions have already raised more than $53 million over the years, including a record $19 million bid in 2022 and the new edition could again draw major money because of the Curry connection.
Ayesha’s business profile helps explain why the pairing resonates well beyond sports fans. Her brand, Sweet July, which began as a magazine, has grown into a uniquely catering skincare brand. She's enjoying quite the success with her own set of huge followers.
The couple's entrepreneurial mentality has made them quite the power couple in the business world.
