Now that Stefon Diggs has moved past his legal issues, he's officially ready to return to the gridiron.

Back in December 2025, Diggs’ former live-in chef, Jamila Adams, accused him of assaulting her during a dispute. He could've faced up to five years in prison since he was accused of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery.

On Tuesday, however, Diggs was found not guilty by the jury at Dedham District Court. It was a huge win for him and his attorneys, make no mistake about it.

“We have taken these allegations seriously from day one and that’s exactly why we were eager for the facts to come to light through the legal process. Professional athletes have a target on their back. When someone sees a uniform and a contract, they see leverage; they see a settlement. And they’re counting on that pressure in the court of public opinion to drive a default decision to settle regardless of the facts of the matter,” Diggs’ attorneys said, via ESPN. “The evidence has shown what we’ve maintained from day one: Mr. Diggs was wrongly accused, and this case represents exactly the kind of opportunistic targeting that players can face the moment they step off the field.”

Roughly 24 hours after being found not guilty, Diggs went on Instagram to let NFL teams know that he's ready for the 2026 season.

"This is not an opinion-based sport, so here are the numbers. I played 52% of the snaps and finished with 85 catches for 1,045 yards coming off an ACL," Diggs wrote. "Where we going?"

The New England Patriots released Diggs before the start of the new league year. That move was mainly made for financial reasons.

Diggs could miss time next NFL season.

Even though Diggs was found not guilty of assault, the NFL could still discipline him this offseason.

"We have been monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review of the personal conduct policy," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said.

If NFL teams receive more clarity regarding Diggs' situation, maybe they'll show more interest.

For now though, Diggs is part of a free agent class that still includes Keenan Allen, Tyreek Hill, Jauan Jennings and Deebo Samuel.
