After spending one season with the New England Patriots, wide receiver Stefon Diggs sits in free agency. He was released by the Patriots just one season into his three-year, $63.5 million contract. The veteran will be entering his 12th season in the NFL and will be switching teams for the third time in as many years.
After a solid year with New England, several teams could be interested in the four-time Pro Bowler. While helping the Patriots reach the Super Bowl, Diggs started all 17 regular-season games, racking up 85 receptions (led the team), 1,013 yards (led the team) and four touchdowns on 102 targets (led the team).

While the wide receiver continues to weigh his options, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox predicts that Diggs will sign with the Baltimore Ravens.
"Quarterback Lamar Jackson would benefit from an improved receiving corps," Kox wrote. Diggs would be a great addition alongside Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Baltimore tried using veteran DeAndre Hopkins in the third-receiver role last season, but he finished with just 330 yards and two touchdowns. Diggs could be the dependable go-to target for Jackson that Hopkins never became."
Baltimore went just 8-9 last season, finishing in second place in the AFC North and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2021. While Jackson, a two-time MVP, was limited to just 13 games due to injury, the offense was still solid.
The Ravens finished the year ranked 11th in points per game (24.9) and 16th in total yards per game (332.2). Adding another receiving threat like Diggs, who has seven 1,000-yard seasons, could give the unit a considerable boost.
With $29.5 million in cap space, it's a move the Ravens could afford. At 32 years old, Diggs isn't expected to command a long-term deal. Spotrac projects his market value will earn him a two-year, $27.6 million deal.
