The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for their first road game of the 2026 season as they head to Foxborough to face the New England Patriots in Week 2. After opening the season with a 20-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the Steelers will now have to navigate their first injury report of the week as they prepare for the defending AFC champions.

Several players appeared on Pittsburgh’s Wednesday injury report, including a few names worth monitoring throughout the week. Meanwhile, New England also has several notable players dealing with injuries ahead of Sunday’s matchup, including a key member of its secondary.

Here is the Wednesday injury round up for Week 2’s Steelers-Patriots preparation:

LT Troy Fautanu (ankle) — DNP
TE Darnell Washington (personal) — DNP
CB Joey Porter Jr. (conditioning) — LP
WR Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) — LP

Fautanu’s injury is one to monitor throughout the week. He briefly left the Steelers’ Week 1 matchup but returned and finished the game. Pittman’s foot injury is also worth monitoring, although he did not miss any time against the Falcons.

Porter remains under the microscope, but it is worth noting that his designation has changed from a back injury to conditioning. That could be a more positive sign as he works his way back toward game action.

CB Carlton Davis III (neck) — DNP
LB Dre’Mont Jones (foot) — LP
LB Robert Spillane (knee) — LP
OL Ben Brown (knee) — LP
RB TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) — FP

A few notable developments from the Patriots’ injury report will be closely monitored throughout the week. Henderson’s return to practice is a welcome development for New England, as he provides another dynamic playmaker for the offense.

However, Davis’ absence would be a significant development for New England’s secondary. A former teammate of current Steelers cornerback Jamel Dean, Davis served as an important piece of the Patriots’ secondary last season. Davis and Christian Gonzalez have developed into an impressive cornerback duo in New England, making Davis’ status one to watch as the week progresses.
