Former San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Tim Lincecum had one of the greatest peaks of a career in recent memory. From 2008-2011, Lincecum was arguably the best pitcher in the sport of baseball. The right-handed hurler, who was listed at just 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, silenced those who said he was too small by winning back-to-back Cy Young Awards in 2008 and 2009.
He was an All-Star in each season from 2008-2011 as well. He also led the league in strikeouts for three consecutive years from 2008-2010.
While he would struggle after the 2011 campaign and was ultimately out of MLB after 2016, Lincecum is remembered for what he accomplished in San Francisco. He also played a crucial role in three Giants' World Series championships, as they won the Fall Classic in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
