Sports betting influencer Taylor Mathis left most of her fans speechless during the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
Mathis, a content creator with 364,000 followers on Instagram and 241,000 followers on X, has become quite popular due to her "Waling Bets" segment. She basically walks around while sharing her favorite bets for the biggest sporting events of the day.
Prior to the start of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, Mathis shared her predictions for the opening slate of games. She decided to take High Point on the spread (+9.5) against Wisconsin. It's safe to say that was a smart pick on her part.
High Point didn't just cover the spread, the Panthers outright defeated the Badgers to secure a spot in the Round of 32. Rob Martin was their leading scorer with 23 points, but it was Chase Johnston who provided his team a major spark with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
Mathis celebrated High Point's upset over Wisconsin by posting a swimsuit photo on social media along with the caption: "BOOM SHAKALAKA HIGH POINT."

Earlier this week, Mathis revealed that she has Arizona, Duke, Florida and Iowa State making it to the Final Four. She then has the Blue Devils defeating the Wildcats in the national championship game.
Mathis is expected to release her bets for Day 2 of the NCAA Tournament in the coming hours.
We'd have to imagine Mathis will be cheering hard for Iowa to defeat Clemson.
