Sophie Cunningham has been making waves with the Indiana Fever this season. She has been a key contributor for the franchise so far, averaging 9.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Cunningham has been among the best 3-point shooters in the WNBA, making 43.8% of her shots from deep — the second-best mark in the league.
The veteran guard has also been one of the more popular players in the league, most recently going viral for her pointing match with DeWanna Bonner. The moment has since become a meme.
Considering Cunningham's performance and immense popularity, it's not surprising that Adidas opted to drop a shoe under her brand. The 29-year-old star is releasing her first WNBA player-exclusive shoe, the Adidas Crazy Energy PE, on July 24.

In relation to the release of her shoe, Cunningham is now set to make a public appearance to promote it. In an announcement on social media, sporting goods retailer Hibbett revealed that the Fever enforcer will be at its Illinois store for the drop of the sneakers.
"ENERGY CHECK with @sophie_cham," Hibbett wrote. "Not to point fingers, but you should be there. Meet Sophie and celebrate the launch of the Crazy Energy 'Sophie Cunningham' PE—the shoe for hoopers who don't wait to be chosen. Bag your pair, take the spotlight, and Take Yours."
Cunningham will be at the Hibbett store in Romeoville from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time for the launch.
The Fever will have a few days off during that span. They have a game on July 22 against the Connecticut Sun, but they won't play again until July 28 against the Seattle Storm.
That being said, it looks like Cunningham will be busy promoting her new sneakers during that short break for Indiana.
