Sophie Cunningham had a particularly rough game on August 20 against the Dallas Wings.
The Indiana Fever guard had 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists and 0 steals in a 91-85 loss to the Wings. Cunningham, who averages less than 10 points per game, is not known for her scoring ability. She’s not much of a stat sheet stuffer.
However, Cunningham’s 0-fer game was particularly notable. It came during a stretch in play when Cunningham’s political, transgender athlete comments have been making all sorts of headlines.

Cunningham doesn’t think so. She shot down the theory on Saturday evening while speaking to reporters.
“Look at my stats…I don’t know why people think this is such a big distraction…great time to be a Fever,” she said.

Perhaps a bounceback game is coming for Cunningham on Sunday.
The Fever are set to take on the Chicago Sky at 7 p.m. E.T. on Sunday evening. The WNBA regular season game will be airing on Peacock.
