Sophie Cunningham has made her pregame music opinions very clear on Monday afternoon, August 24.
The Indiana Fever guard, who helped lead her team to a road win over the Chicago Sky on Sunday evening, made it clear that she doesn’t listen to rap music before games. Instead, the former Missouri Tigers standout clarified that she likes to listen to country music.
No one appears to have asked Cunningham about her thoughts on rap music, but the 30-year-old guard shared them anyway.

Cunningham has been a polarizing figure on social media for a while now. The Indiana Fever guard is a decent role player, averaging 8.4 points per game while shooting close to 45 percent from the 3-point line, but outside of Caitlin Clark and maybe Angel Reese, few WNBA players, if any, are talked about more on social media than the Indiana Fever bench guard.
The Fever, meanwhile, improved to 25-14 on the season with Sunday night’s win over the Chicago Sky.
Indiana has been looking like a legitimate WNBA Finals contender this year. They could be heating up at the right time, too.
