Caitlin Clark’s elite playmaking was on display yet again for Team USA on Monday. The Indiana Fever superstar turned in a strong performance to help lead the national team to a convincing 105-64 win over the Czech Republic in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
Clark came off the bench again for head coach Kara Lawson, but the 6-foot guard logged a team-high 22 minutes of action. Clark finished with nine points on 3-of-8 shooting, one rebound, a game-high seven assists and one triple.
Angel Reese also played well for Team USA. The Atlanta Dream forward registered 13 points on an efficient 4-of-5 from the field, to go along with six rebounds and three steals in 20 minutes of play.
One of the best highlights of Team USA’s dominant win over Czechia was a Clark-to-Reese connection. At one point in the contest, Clark used a behind-the-back crossover to slip past her defender and drive to the rim. As the defense collapsed on Clark, she lobbed a pinpoint pass to Reese, who finished the wide-open layup.
FIBA posted a slo-mo video of the play on social media, and it is a must-see.

Clark, Reese and the rest of Team USA are now headed to the quarterfinals after winning Group D with a perfect 3-0 record. They will play on Thursday against the winner of the Japan-Belgium qualification game.
Team USA remains the favorite to win it all this year. They are aiming for a fifth consecutive Women’s World Cup title.
