Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell looked to help the No. 6 seed Indiana Fever keep their season alive on Tuesday night, returning home to face A’ja Wilson and the No. 3 seed Las Vegas Aces in Game 2. The Fever opened the first round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs with a 102-85 Game 1 loss in Las Vegas, falling behind in the series 1-0.
With about 3:25 remaining in the second quarter of Game 2 and Indiana down to 37-36, the Aces attempted to increase their lead on offense before Fever rookie Raven Johnson poked the ball free as she hit the deck, before it landed in Clark’s hands.
The former Iowa star drove the length of the court with only Chelsea Gray standing in her way. But Mitchell came flying in from the opposite side, and Clark lofted the ball over Gray before Mitchell caught it for an alley-oop layup.

The alley-oop not only gave the Fever a 38-37 lead, but also got the crowd on their feet. Indiana would go on to take a double-digit lead in the third quarter, before the Aces made Game 2 interesting in the fourth.
After the play, the Fever took to social media to share an alternative, slow-motion angle of Clark’s alley-oop to Mitchell. And the video caught the attention of many WNBA fans as well.
“this angle of Caitlin Clark’s alley oop to Kelsey Mitchell 😮💨,” the Fever wrote on X.
“Love to see it 🙌🏽,” one fan said.
“Clear the Runway 🛩️ 🏀,” added another.
“This was pure magic! Just perfection by CC and Kelz,” wrote a third.
“Put it in the Louvre!” posted a fourth.
“That was awesome!!” commented a fifth.
“This was beautiful!!! Our backcourt!!! 😭😭😭,” added a sixth.
Clark and Mitchell could face the Aces in Game 3 on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
