The Chicago Sky are at home Thursday night as they face off against the Connecticut Sun in an Eastern Conference matchup.
It has been a disappointing season thus far for the Sky as they currently sit 13th in the WNBA standings with a 9-18 record and they also enter Thursday’s matchup having lost their last two games.

With the Sky looking to turn things around in the second half of the season, they did receive a positive injury update regarding one of their key players ahead of Thursday’s game.
DiJonai Carrington Expected to Make Season Debut Thursday
According to ESPN’s Alexa Philippou, Sky guard DiJonai Carrington plans to make her season debut against the Sun barring a setback pregame.
Of course, Carrington has sat out the beginning of the season while recovering from a left foot sprain that she underwent surgery on in the offseason but it sounds as though she will be available for Chicago Thursday night against the Sun.
This is massive news for the Sky as the 28-year-old guard will make her team debut after signing with Chicago in the offseason and she could have a large role immediately.

Carrington is coming off a season in which she averaged 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 38.6% from the field and 31.9% from three last season with both the Dallas Wings and Minnesota Lynx.
The veteran guard will provide the Sky with a reliable scorer and defender that they are in desperate need of as they try to turn things around in the second half of the season with their roster almost fully healthy.

While Carrington will likely play a larger role for the Sky immediately, it is likely that Chicago will limit her minutes as she works her way back from injury.
Fans can catch Thursday night’s matchup between the Sun and Sky from Chicago at 8:00 p.m. ET.
