Skip Bayless is convinced that one Indiana Fever player has the best offensive arsenal in the WNBA today.
During Thursday’s game between the Fever and Dallas Wings, Kelsey Mitchell finished with 37 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field. She was 4-of-7 from deep and 15-of-15 from the free-throw line, showcasing her ability to score in a variety of ways.
In the first half alone, Mitchell recorded 21 points, allowing her to set a new record for the longest 20-point streak in WNBA history with 21 games. She also broke her own franchise record for the most points in a single season.
After witnessing Mitchell’s offensive masterclass early in the contest, Bayless couldn’t help but give her the ultimate praise.

“Kelsey Mitchell as a scorer has the WNBA’s deepest bag. 21 in the first half!” Bayless wrote.
Bayless’ remarks have plenty of merit — that’s for sure. For one, Mitchell entered the Wings game with the second-highest scoring average in the WNBA today at 24.3, behind only A’ja Wilson who is averaging 26.1 points per game.
Furthermore, even Wings star Paige Bueckers has said previously that Mitchell is the hardest player to guard in the WNBA because of her ability to score. Bueckers emphasized that the Fever All-Star is just “super creative” offensively.
“Right now, I’d probably say Kelsey Mitchell,” Bueckers said when asked about the hardest player to defend against in the WNBA. “Because she’s so unpredictable. She’s fast, twitchy, extremely quick, can also shoot. So if you give her space… and she’s just super creative.”
While Indiana lost to Dallas 91-85, Mitchell certainly showed that she’s an offensive force to be reckoned with.
