Christmas must have come 10 months early for former ESPN and Fox Sports debate bro Skip Bayless because Green Bay Packers star pass rusher Micah Parsons is calling him out by name. Now, Bayless intends to cash in.
Appearing on the Open Thoughts podcast, Parsons went off on a slew of people like Bayless for criticizing how he likes to be up front and candid with his thoughts all the time. He had plenty of words for Bayless in particular for constantly being criticized over how he plays - both when he played in Dallas and with the Packers.
“(expletive) them. Like, I’ll tell you, (expletive) Skip Bayless. (expletive)all them. I don’t give a (expletive),” Parsons declared in the midst of a rant. “They won’t say that to my face. You Twitter finger (expletives). (expletive) them. I don’t give a (expletive). I’ll tell you how it is. You suck. You suck, your show don’t work no more… (expletive) be trying to tell you how to play the game. Come play my position, Skip! Cause I can do what you do. (expletive), I do it better sometimes. So, what are we talking about here?”
As insulting as that may have sounded to Bayless, it was music to his ears. Taking to X on Wednesday as part of 23 minutes worth of general thoughts, he challenged Parsons to debate him and said that he would be happy to say to his face what he has said online.
“Micah Parsons, I challenge you to meet me face to face on whatever venue you choose,” Bayless said. “We can do home and home. You can do my new show, Arena: Gridiron and I’ll do your podcast…I’ll fly to meet you face to face…I don’t care, because I’m going to say right to your face, this Twitter finger (expletives), I’ll say right to your face what I have always said about you, Micah Parsons. I’ll tell you exactly what I’ve always said about you, face to face, eye to eye, man to man, Micah Parsons. You and I, let’s do it. Let’s go.”
A nothing-burger
Nothing is going to come from Bayless' challenge though. For starters, fans dismissed Bayless' challenge in large part because none of them wanted to watch 20-plus minutes of his talking just to get to the point.
"23 minutes? Ain’t nobody watching all that Unc. Micah Parsons owns you," one user wrote on X.
"One of the biggest fools on the internet if he truly things we are listening to 23 minutes of him crying about an NFL player loooooool," wrote another.
"You can tell Skips feelings are hurt cause he posted a 23 minute ramble session that not a soul on earth will listen to from start to finish," a third replied.

Bayless resent Parsons - and just about anyone - that leaves "his" Dallas Cowboys, so Parsons probably shouldn't be taking it too seriously. But he is, and now he's given Bayless probably a year's worth of things to talk about at his expense.
