Former NFL star Shannon Sharpe is under heavy fire this week for disrespecting Taylor Swift.
Sharpe had comedian Mark Normand on the latest episode of his "Club Shay Shay" podcast. They somehow got on the subject of Swift and her physique. Instead of showing respect to the 14-time Grammy Award winner, Normand mocked her appearance. He also took an unnecessary shot at Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
"We've seen his exes. Compared to old surfboard body here," Normand said. "I mean, not to besmirch the lady, but that's quite a jump in type."
Sharpe tried his best to steer the conversation in the right direction.
"I only know that was his last girl. I don't know anybody that he dated before her - Kayla," the Hall of Fame tight end said. "But sometimes I think the people that say, 'Oh, he fumbled. He fumbled.' I mean, if somebody makes you happier, is that a fumble?"
Unfortunately, Normand wouldn't stop mocking Swift.
"But I wonder if he misses that fat a**," Normand continued. "I think [Swift] should get a BBL."

Taylor Swift fans fire back.
As you'd imagine, Swifties were disgusted by the comments Normand made. Interestingly enough, they're placing the blame on Sharpe for allowing Normand on his show in the first place.
"Shannon betraying his long friendship with Kelce by disrespecting his fiancée is disappointing and unexpected," one fan commented. "They don’t make loyalty like they used to."
"Taylor is perfect as she is the fact these men think she should get a BBL to keep Travis happy is so out of touch and gross," a second fan said.
"You allowed this man to come on your show and disrespect your friend’s future wife? What kind of friend are you," another Swiftie replied.
Sharpe has not yet responded to the backlash yet. Maybe he'll issue an apology to Kelce and Swift in the coming days.
