Natisha Hiedeman helped the Seattle Storm snap their 11-game losing streak with a win against the Chicago Sky on Monday.
The eight-year veteran scored 18 points and dished out nine assists in the 97-88 victory. On top of that, the 5-foot-8 guard was seen wearing a fresh pair of Nike Caitlin 1s.
Hiedeman is the first WNBA player outside of Caitlin Clark to wear the Caitlin 1s in a regular-season game. This was after the Indiana Fever star gifted her a pair during All-Star weekend.
Clark's first signature shoe features a dominant blue color with a metallic swoosh. Clark’s logo is also seen on the tongue and the inner midsole of the shoe. Hiedeman's blue hair matched the colorway of the Caitlin 1s she wore.
The Nike Caitlin 1 was officially announced in June of this year. It will be released globally on Oct. 10 with a retail price of $140 in North America.
Hiedeman’s move to wear the Caitlin 1s in their game against the Sky paid dividends. She balled out in the unreleased pair, helping lead her team to victory.
This wasn’t the first time that Seattle snapped an 11-game losing streak. On June 25, the Storm won their first game in 12 outings after defeating the New York Liberty at home. Flau’jae Johnson led the way for the squad with 28 points while Hiedeman had 11 points and two steals.
Unfortunately, the Storm still sit at the bottom of the WNBA standings with a 7-28 record. Seattle has also been eliminated from playoff contention for this season.
