Flau'jae Johnson was forced to leave Saturday's game between the Seattle Storm and Portland Fire after suffering a late injury.
The Storm, already eliminated from playoff contention, suffered a 100-93 loss to Bridget Carleton and the Fire, dropping them to 6-28 on the 2026 WNBA season. Now, Seattle will look to end an 11-game drought on Monday when Natasha Cloud and the Chicago Sky come to town.
But late in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game, Johnson suffered a foot injury late in the fourth quarter. And, according to Seattle Times staff reporter Percy Allen, she limped off the court and was unable to return to the game.

Before her injury, Johnson still managed 25 minutes in the 34th game and start of her rookie season. The former LSU Tigers guard tallied eight points on 3-of-10 shooting, four rebounds and one assist. Guard Jade Melbourne led Seattle with a career-high 23 points on 7-of-15 shooting, while Carleton led the Fire in scoring with 24 on 9-of-19 shooting, to go along with six rebounds and four assists.
Johnson has been one of the few bright spots for the Storm this year. The No. 8 overall pick is averaging 13.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, becoming one of the more effective rookies in the entire WNBA.
Aside from Johnson, forward Katie Lou Samuelson was forced to miss the Portland matchup due to a knee injury, while guard Taina Mair was ruled out at the coach's decision.
"Rookie Flau’jae Johnson suffered an apparent foot injury and did not return, and the Storm fell to the Fire 100-93 on Saturday night to match a franchise record with their 11th straight loss," Seattle Times Sports wrote on X.
The Storm will hope to have Johnson back and healthy for their next matchup against the Sky on Monday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
