Myles Garrett did not practice Sunday at Loyola Marymount University.
The Los Angeles Rams star has missed three straight sessions with soreness in his lower leg and will sit out Monday as well. He is expected to be evaluated after Tuesday's team off day.
Head coach Sean McVay said the issue is "nothing to worry about." One missed practice was a scheduled rest day, per ESPN's Sarah Barshop.
Sean McVay Provides Update on Myles Garrett

"He's had checkups, all that kind of stuff, so there's nothing to worry about," McVay said. "It's more about how do we keep him as fresh as possible ... so that when we do play in Australia, he's ready to go and do his thing. There's no reason for concern, and I look forward to getting him back out there with us."
That journey, a nearly 16-hour flight, with the Rams opening the season Sept. 10 against the San Francisco 49ers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, is longer than last year's trip to London, when the Rams landed roughly 30 hours before beating the Jacksonville Jaguars, 35-7. It's an important reason McVay is being careful with veterans now rather than waiting until the regular campaign begins.
Garrett joins quarterback Matthew Stafford and outside linebacker Byron Young on the Rams' list of starters on modified schedules early in camp. Stafford is sitting out Days 1 and 3 of the team's four-day blocks, while Young has been managing a lingering knee injury, the same one that limited him late last season. Garrett's absence also gives defensive coordinator Chris Shula extra reps to evaluate depth along the defensive line.
The Rams acquired Garrett from Cleveland in June, sending edge rusher Jared Verse and three draft picks, a 2027 first-rounder, a 2028 second-rounder and a 2029 third-rounder, to the Browns. The deal came together after Garrett won his second Defensive Player of the Year award and Cleveland's front office ultimately moved off its stance that he wasn't available. When practicing, Garrett looked even better than advertised.
Garrett recorded 23 sacks last season with the Browns, setting the NFL's single-season sack record. He broke the mark of 22.5 that Michael Strahan set in 2001 and T.J. Watt matched in 2021.
As Rams training camp continues, more updates on Garrett's status should follow in the next stretch of practice.
