The Los Angeles Rams entered the 2026 NFL season with hopes of competing among the top of the NFC. However, a rocky start to the year has left them with a 2-4 record and in last place in the NFC West. After a shocking loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, the Rams will face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7 with a chance to gain some momentum.
While the Rams have had inconsistent play across the board, injuries have also played a major role in their disappointing start to the year. Los Angeles recently lost veteran receiver Davante Adams for at least six weeks with a ruptured hamstring, placing added pressure on the rest of the receiving corps.

With the loss of Adams, Puka Nacua’s health is even more important. Nacua missed two games earlier in the season with a hip and groin issue, but has been productive when active. In four games this year, Nacua has caught 37 passes for 417 yards and one touchdown, also adding a touchdown on the ground.
Unfortunately, Nacua’s status has become a concern just days before Sunday. He exited Thursday’s practice with a calf issue, and according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, head coach Sean McVay said Nacua would not practice Friday and would be listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup.
While the two-time Pro Bowler has not been ruled out, his status will be closely monitored ahead of the game. If he is unable to go, Matthew Stafford and the Rams would be without both of their top two receivers in a crucial Week 7 matchup.
For Los Angeles, the hope is that Nacua’s calf injury proves minor and does not lead to another extended absence as they try to turn their season around.
