The Seattle Seahawks dismantled the New England Patriots on Sunday at Levi's Stadium, winning Super Bowl LX by a final score of 29-13 that hardly did Seattle's dominant performance justice.

One of the central architects of the Seahawks' championship was offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who helped scheme star quarterback Sam Darnold into his first Super Bowl title and running back Kenneth Walker III into Super Bowl LX MVP honors.

Following a coaching search that was spearheaded by Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady and John Spytek, Kubiak had been all but confirmed as the next head coach of the Raiders a week before the Super Bowl, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.

Per NFL rules, nothing could be made official until after the coordinator's Super Bowl responsibilities were complete. In an on-field interview with NFL Network's Stacy Dales immediately after the game, Kubiak went ahead and broke the news himself.

"You guys know I'm going to Las Vegas, I'm fired up about it," Kubiak said with a shrug. "Hell yeah I'm going. Of course I'm going, yeah."

In 2025, Kubiak's Seahawks offense ranked third in the NFL in scoring (28.4 points per game) eighth in total offense (351.4 yards per game). The Raiders need help on that side of the ball, where they ranked dead last in the league in the same two categories in 2025, leading to a 3-14 record.

With Brady helping make decisions at front office level and the ability to take a potentially franchise-altering player like Indiana Hoosiers QB Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, there is a lot for Kubiak to work with in Las Vegas moving forward.

While the Raiders were clearly on his mind right after the win, Kubiak also confirmed to Dales that a night of celebration will come first before the hard work begins.

"That's up to God," he said of his future as a head coach. "We're going to enjoy tonight."
