Suplexes run in the family. Brock Rechsteiner, the son of WWE Hall of Famer, Scott Steiner aka Big Poppa Pump, just went viral for showing flashes of his father, uncle (Rick Steiner) and cousin’s (Bron Breakker) work. Rechsteiner is currently a wide receiver playing for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints were playing the Dallas Cowboys in a split-squad preseason matchup while both teams prepare for the NFL season.
Things got a little more than chippy and a brawl ensued. Rechsteiner didn’t run from the fight. He stuck his nose in the middle of it and sent a Cowboys player for a ride in the process. It wasn’t a perfect German Suplex, but it was about as good as you’ll see on a football field. Let’s talk football…or wrestling. We’re not even sure anymore.
WrestleOps caught the moment.

Rechsteiner is a rookie, and the suspension covers the first six games of the regular season rather than the preseason, which is why he was on the field at all. The family tree runs deep. His father and his uncle Rick went into the WWE Hall of Fame together as the Steiner Brothers, and Rick’s son Bron Breakker is now one of the biggest acts on Raw.
Brock is currently suspended six games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. However, he can still practice with the team and play in preseason games.
Like the other more notable members of his family, Brock is uber athletic. We’re not sure if he has a future in the NFL beyond his preseason, but his split-squad suplex just feels like a moment WWE will hearken back to once and if he ever joins his cousin in the WWE. We’re not rushing the end of Rechsteiner’s football career, but at this point, it seems inevitable.
