Sam Darnold’s postgame moment with Kenneth Walker III drew attention after Super Bowl LX on Sunday.
After the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots 29-13, the NFL shared a video of the two stars embracing. The caption noted them “taking it all in” as the hug stretched nearly 10 seconds. They exchanged a few quiet words before Darnold finished the moment with a pat on Walker’s chest.
The interaction reflected how the night unfolded. Sam Darnold completed 19 of 38 passes for 202 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He added two short rushes and avoided mistakes against constant pressure.
Darnold took just one sack and threw the ball away several times to protect possession. His calm play helped Seattle survive stretches when offense was hard to find.
Darnold leaned most on Cooper Kupp and AJ Barner. Barner caught the game’s lone passing touchdown on a 16-yard score early in the fourth quarter. Darnold also closed the postseason without a turnover, and that discipline allowed Seattle to control the game late.
"It’s been such a special journey with these guys," Darnold said after the win. "So much hard work that’s been poured into this, and that’s it. It was just a job well done.”

Walker carried the offense when space opened. He rushed 27 times for 135 yards and added 26 receiving yards. He broke off runs of 30 and 29 yards in the second quarter. A 49-yard touchdown run was erased by holding, but his impact never faded. Walker earned Super Bowl MVP honors after a dominant postseason.
"First running back to win Super Bowl MVP since 1998! @Kenneth_Walker9 #SuperBowlLX" NFL wrote for Walker.
The Seahawks captured their second title, and the night also packed a historic halftime show by Bad Bunny, joined by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
