Former U.S. Summer Olympics champion Ryan Lochte has issued an official response to his ex-wife's accusation.
Lochte, 41, was married to Kayla Rae Reid since 2018. However, the couple has since separated. Now, Kayla Rae is accusing her ex-husband of cheating.
“Your technically still-husband is already living with his girlfriend,” Reid’s co-host, Caroline Lunny, said after referring to the Olympian’s girlfriend, Molly Gillihan, as Lochte’s “mistress.”
“I’m so happy for him,” Reid replied. “They’ve been happy for a very long time. Very long time. For many years. They go way back.”

Reid has admitted that she's afraid to date now, because of how insecure she felt during her time with Lochte, as women would constantly message him on social media.
“Sadly, it happened a lot,” Reid told her co-host. “I noticed it happened while I was pregnant or postpartum.”
Lochte has responded to the cheating accusations
Lochte claims that he didn't make contact with his current girlfriend until he and his wife were separating.
He shared a message that read: "me and wife are separating, no bad blood between us, but rather tell you more on the phone then thru here :) here's my number."
Gillihan, meanwhile, shared a post that also disputed his ex-wife's claims.
"I’ll just leave this here :)," Gillihan said in the IG caption. "#liesforclickbait 💋 @ryanlochte."
Lochte issued an official response, telling PEOPLE, "I absolutely was not faithful to my ex-wife. And I have no excuse but to continue to say I have grown and learned so much from my past and I am working on myself and my character every single day."
