Russell Wilson had a forgettable 2025 campaign with the New York Giants which ended with a 4-13 record and uncertainty about his NFL future.

The 37-year-old quarterback started three games before being benched for rookie Jaxson Dart following an 0-3 start. Despite being a 10-time Pro Bowler, he played in only six games total, finishing with 831 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. The Ohio native spent the rest of the season mentoring Dart as the Giants suffered their second straight losing season.

Their underwhelming season is over, and the Giants are preparing to rebuild their team structure and pipeline ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. But before that, Russ and his wife Ciara appeared on First We Feast's "Hot Ones Versus," where the couple faced increasingly spicy wings and deeply personal questions.

It was an overall simple format game. One has to either answer honestly or eat a wing covered in very hot sauce. Ciara offered a trap question that left Wilson speechless, asking which ring mattered more — the Super Bowl ring he won with the Seattle Seahawks or his wedding ring.

Wilson won his lone Lombardi Trophy in 2014, leading the Seahawks to a dominant 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos. He married the Grammy-winning singer two years later in 2016, and they've been "#CoupleGoals" ever since.

When Ciara posed the ultimate loyalty test, Wilson immediately laughed and grabbed a wing rather than pick a side. "Y'all [expletive] up for that," he said before biting into the scorching sauce. His eyes watered as he muttered, "That's hot, boy."

Wilson later took to social media to address the viral moment, penning, "I had to eat the rrrwwwing!" followed by laughing and fire emojis. He tagged Ciara and added, "y'all ain't right for this!"

Now entering unrestricted free agency, Wilson faces an uncertain future after a one-year stint with the Giants, who underwent a massive overhaul. The team fired head coach Brian Daboll mid-season, naming Mike Kafka interim coach before eventually hiring John Harbaugh, who was dismissed after 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

Wilson recently hired a new agent, David Mulugheta, and stated he is "not blinking" and fully intends to play in 2026. Reports indicate the Cleveland Browns are a potential landing spot for a veteran presence in their young quarterback room. NFL free agency begins March 11.
