Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are eyeing a bounce-back campaign in 2026. The Packers opened the 2025 season with a strong start, posting a 9-3-1 record through their first 13 games, before a flurry of injuries derailed Green Bay's Super Bowl hopes.
Love, who missed time in his own right, posted the most efficient production of his career thus far. He led the Packers to a 9-5-1 record at the helm, completing 66.3% of his passes for 3,381 yards and 23 touchdowns with six interceptions.
Since taking over as Green Bay's starter under center, the Utah State product has shown flashes of a top-five signal-caller, though the team hasn't yet made it past the divisional round under his leadership. Love is set to enter his fourth season since taking over for Aaron Rodgers, and the Packers are looking to make a deep playoff run.
For the team to take the next step, though, the Packers need Love to make another leap. Green Bay's receiving corps endured a crucial loss, with Romeo Doubs leaving for New England in free agency, which will force the star quarterback to shoulder greater responsibility in the passing game.
The NFC North will be a gauntlet in 2026, with the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings each making great strides during the offseason. Still, there's plenty of reason for optimism regarding Love's outlook for the upcoming season.

Green Bay's receiving corps will look very different in 2026, with two receivers slated to take on higher volume this season. The front office locked down Christian Watson on a four-year deal earlier in the offseason, worth up to $110.5 million, with second-year wideout Matthew Golden thrust into the WR2 role for the upcoming season following the loss of Doubs.
Watson is entering his fifth season in the NFL and is slated to command the lead role among Green Bay's pass-catching group. Golden, the No. 23 overall pick in last year's draft, will step into a vastly expanded role in his second season.
The receiver tandem will play a significant role in Love's production early in the season, and could help the star quarterback hit his stride in 2026. Love has remained focused on correcting weaknesses in the pocket during his offseason, working to maximize the production of his two stellar vertical threats.
If the pair can provide consistent output over the course of the season, Love could very well find himself in the MVP discussion by the end of the year.
