Who Does Roman Reigns Play in Street Fighter?
Reigns plays Akuma, bringing one of the Street Fighter franchise’s most imposing characters to the big screen.
WWE fans have already gotten their first look at Reigns in the role, sporting Akuma’s signature red hair and beads.
The role adds another major Hollywood credit for Reigns, whose previous acting work includes appearing alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
Who Does Cody Rhodes Play in Street Fighter?
Rhodes plays Guile, the American military officer who has been a staple of the Street Fighter franchise since Street Fighter II.

The film also marks a notable Hollywood role for Rhodes while he remains one of WWE’s biggest stars.

When Does the Street Fighter Movie Come Out?
Street Fighter will be released in theaters on October 16, 2026.
The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai, whose previous work includes Bad Trip and The Eric Andre Show.
What Is Street Fighter About?
The movie takes place in 1993 and centers on Ryu and Ken Masters, two estranged fighters who are brought back together when Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament.
What initially appears to be a fighting tournament turns into something much larger as Ryu, Ken and the other fighters discover a conspiracy behind the competition.
That setup allows the movie to bring together many of the video game’s most recognizable characters, including the ones played by two of WWE’s biggest stars.
Rhodes and Reigns have spent years standing across the ring from each other in WWE. On October 16, fans will see them on a very different kind of battleground.
