Ring of Honor has announced a special way for fans to remember PAC following the former AEW and WWE star’s death at 40. The promotion will open its archives and revisit some of the matches that showcased the English wrestler’s work across different stages of his career.
AEW announced PAC’s death on September 27, one day after his final match at All Out. He faced Andrade El Idolo for the National Championship at the event before the wrestling world was left mourning his sudden passing. All Elite Wrestling did not reveal a cause of death.
ROH announced the tribute on September 28, revealing that full PAC matches from both its own archives and his AEW run would be released on its official YouTube channel throughout the day.
“Every hour until 3pm ET on the official ROH YouTube channel, we’ll release a FULL MATCH featuring PAC from AEW and the ROH archives. Today, we mourn. But we also celebrate his life, his passion, and the unforgettable moments he gave us.”
The announcement gives fans an opportunity to revisit PAC through the matches that helped define his career rather than simply looking back at his accomplishments. It also reflects the connection he maintained with ROH long after his first appearance for the promotion.
PAC’s ROH Story Started Nearly Two Decades Ago
PAC first appeared for ROH at The Fifth Year Festival: Liverpool at the Liverpool Olympia in 2007. He made occasional appearances for the promotion over the years, building his reputation as one of the most athletic wrestlers on the independent scene.
His relationship with Ring of Honor eventually came full circle in 2023. PAC returned to the promotion at Death Before Dishonor that year to challenge Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship, marking his first ROH appearance since 2007.
The championship match showcased the aggressive side of PAC that had become a major part of his character by that point. Castagnoli ultimately retained after PAC countered several of his signature attacks before a distraction from Wheeler Yuta helped the champion secure the victory.
PAC’s ROH appearances were only one part of a career that also took him through WWE, Dragon Gate, and AEW. His ability to adapt while maintaining the high-flying style that first made him stand out remained a constant throughout those different chapters.
Now, ROH is giving fans a chance to relive those performances. The archive releases preserve a part of PAC’s wrestling journey that might otherwise be remembered only through highlights and old results, allowing his work in the ring to speak for itself.
