The Colorado Rockies are bringing one of their recent trade deadline additions to the majors, calling up left-handed pitcher Mark Manfredi from the minor leagues.
Manfredi was acquired from the Milwaukee Brewers on Aug. 3 as part of the deal that sent right-hander Antonio Senzatela to Milwaukee. The promotion gives Colorado an opportunity to see one of the players it received in that trade at the major league level.
The news was first reported by ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel on X, with the Rockies moving quickly to bring Manfredi into their bullpen.
Manfredi, 26, was originally selected by the Brewers in the ninth round of the 2023 MLB Draft out of the University of Dayton. He began his professional career as a starter before moving exclusively to the bullpen in 2025.
The left-hander has also developed a reputation for bringing considerable velocity from the bullpen. His fastball has reached 97 mph this season and makes up nearly two-thirds of his pitch mix, giving Colorado a power-oriented lefty to work with.
The call-up comes only a little more than two weeks after the Rockies acquired Manfredi and shortstop Juan Martinez from Milwaukee. In return, the Brewers received Senzatela, who had moved into a relief role for Colorado after spending much of his career as a starter.

Senzatela had provided the Rockies with valuable work out of the bullpen before the trade. Colorado ultimately decided to turn that performance into a return centered on younger players, with Manfredi now getting his first opportunity to contribute directly at the major league level for his new organization.
For Colorado, the promotion is another chance to evaluate the pieces brought back at the deadline. Manfredi’s arrival could also give the Rockies a closer look at whether he can become part of their bullpen plans beyond the 2026 season.
