The Tennessee Titans have a major season ahead, as fans will get the chance to see their star quarterback in action for the second season of his young career.
Cam Ward has been turning heads in practice, including Robert Saleh, who had a lot to say.

"He's a dog. I mean this in the best way possible. He is always bugging me for more reps. 'Give us another rep. Give us another shot.' He's always talking smack with the defense, you know, which is new. The quarterback is usually going back to the coordinator to get a call, and he's just so fiery, competitive, and talented. He can make any throw, and I was actually talking to someone today about he–I always feel like from a defensive perspective that great quarterbacks know when to bust. There's space and they know where to throw the ball and they find it. Instinctually, when we bust–he sees it he feels it. He's got a long way to go, which we all understand, but he's one of those kids who's just relentless from the second he wakes up until he goes to bed," Saleh said when speaking on the NFL Network.
Ward is expected to take a major step up this season, despite his rookie campaign not being as bad as it looked at the beginning of the season. While he was part of the offensive failures last season at times, he was also the captain and the star who made things look well even when they weren't.
Ward has new weapons who are without a doubt better than the full core he had a season ago. However, Ward will only be as good as his offensive line is, after he was the most sacked quarterback in the NFL a season ago. If he can have more time in the pocket, he will be an elite quarterback, similar to the way he was when he was under the protection of the Miami Hurricanes offense in his final season of college.
If the line lacks protection, Ward could have another tricky season, although he is likely preparing for the pressure he will be under in 2026.
