The Mysterio family has another member taking steps toward a career in professional wrestling. Aalyah Gutierrez, the 24-year-old daughter of WWE legend Rey Mysterio, has officially begun her journey at the WWE Performance Center.
According to "PWInsider," Aalyah has reported to WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and has been added to the company's internal roster. She is currently listed under her real name, Aalyah Gutierrez, rather than the Mysterio surname used by her father and brother Dominik on WWE television.
The development also comes after Aalyah completed her education. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a degree in Human Biology. Rey had previously promised that his daughter could pursue wrestling after finishing her studies. That opportunity eventually became a reality.
Aalyah first stepped into a WWE ring in October 2025 and later spent two weeks training at the Performance Center in February. She also trained at Natalya's Hart Dungeon before committing to the daily routine at WWE's Orlando facility.
Her decision to pursue wrestling gives the Mysterio family another connection to the business. "The Master of 619" has spent decades as one of WWE's most recognizable performers, while Dominik has established himself as a major part of the current roster.
Aalyah Mysterio Has Already Appeared in a WWE Storyline
Although Aalyah is only now beginning her full-time training journey, WWE fans have seen her before.
She became part of her family's storyline with Seth Rollins in 2020. The angle also involved current AEW star Buddy Murphy, who was presented as having a romantic relationship with Aalyah. The storyline eventually played a role in Murphy turning against Rollins. Aalyah was also involved in the family feud ahead of WrestleMania 39 in 2023.
That appearance gave Aalyah an early connection to WWE programming, but her current path is different. Rather than simply appearing as part of her family's story, she is now training with the aim of developing as a professional wrestler.
If she eventually makes her in-ring debut, Aalyah would become the latest member of the Mysterio family to step into the wrestling business. Her brother Dominik has already followed their father into WWE and became a two-time Intercontinental Champion and SmackDown Tag Team Champion once.
For now, there is no indication of when Aalyah could make her official WWE in-ring debut. Her focus appears to be on training and learning the craft at the Performance Center.
