The Los Angeles Sparks might part ways with All-Star guard Kelsey Plum in the very near future.
Plum, a five-time All-Star, was traded to the Sparks prior to the 2025 WNBA season. She then agreed to a one-year, $999,999 deal with Los Angeles this past offseason. Although she's currently sidelined with a leg injury, she's been mentioned in trade rumors. In fact, there are rumblings that she'll be departing Los Angeles by this weekend.
According to Marisa Ingemi of the Los Angeles Times, the Sparks are "likely" to trade Plum before Sunday's deadline.
"Couple of league sources I spoke with this morning said it's "most likely" that the Sparks will trade Kelsey Plum by the Sunday trade deadline," Ingemi wrote. "They've gotten multiple calls from other WNBA teams and the plan is to move her."
Plum, who is averaging 23.9 points and 6.4 assists per game this season, would be a fine addition to any contender.

CBS Sports mentioned the Golden State Valkyries as a potential landing spot for Plum.
"They desperately need offense, Plum is one of the best scorers in the league and there's a good chance they could convince her to re-sign in free agency," CBS Sports writer Jack Maloney wrote. "The Valkyries do not have a single player averaging 15 points per game, and are eighth in offensive rating (107.7) and 13th in true shooting percentage (53.9%)."
The Phoenix Mercury and Washington Mystics have also been mentioned as suitors for Plum.
Where do you think Plum will end up?
