Longtime ESPN broadcaster Steve Levy might return to "Monday Night Football" for the 2026 season.
Andrew Marchand of The Athletic previously reported that major changes will be made to the No. 2 broadcast team for "Monday Night Football." As of this moment, the secondary crew features Chris Fowler, Dan Orlovsky and Louis Riddick.
According to Marchand, there's an "outside chance" that Levy gets Fowler's job as the No. 2 play-by-play announcer. He called "Monday Night Football" games for ESPN from 2020–21.
Levy isn't the only ESPN announcer in the mix for this "Monday Night Football" gig. It sounds like Dave Pasch is also a contender due to his work as a play-by-play broadcaster.
"I think Steve Levy has an outside chance," Marchand said, via Awful Announcing. "I think he’s somebody you got to put on the list. . . . [Dave] Pasch has the inside track when you talk about classic play-by-players for that NFL job. And then Levy is a guy who I do think there are people at ESPN who felt did him wrong when they replaced him with Fowler on that second team after Levy was on the No. 1 team."

What about the rest of the No. 2 crew?
The Athletic reported last week that Jason Kelce is a "dark horse candidate" to replace Orlovsky and Riddick in the booth.
NFL fans have made it known they don't want Kelce receiving an expanded role for "Monday Night Football." In fact, some of them are strongly against this happening.
“Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, wants more Jason Kelce,” one fan commented.
“Trust me when we say this. We don’t want Jason Kelce,” another fan replied. “Thank you.”
It'll be fascinating to see what ESPN's No. 2 crew looks like this fall.
