NBC is reportedly planning on moving on from longtime "Sunday Night Football" analyst Tony Dungy heading into 2026.

Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported on Wednesday night that Dungy, a Super Bowl-winning head coach, will likely be ousted from NBC's "Sunday Night Football" pregame show.

"Hall of Famer Tony Dungy is likely out as a regular on “Football Night in America” after 17 seasons, as NBC plans to revamp its NFL pregame show, sources briefed on the move told The Athletic," he reported.

"The Dungy move is one of the first decisions in what is anticipated to be a new-look show. While it is the highest-rated Sunday pregame show, it has the benefit of being sandwiched between the late 4:25 p.m. window on CBS and Fox and its premiere game on Sunday night."

According to a report, more changes are coming.

Awful Announcing is reporting that two more big names are likely out at the pregame show.

Dungy isn't the only announcer likely out at NBC

Dungy will likely be joined in his NBC ousting by multiple other figures.

"Awful Announcing has learned that it is unlikely analyst Rodney Harrison will return next season and that Jac Collinsworth’s role on the show is also in question. Along with Dungy, the trio made up the show’s satellite studio that traveled on-site to each Sunday Night Football game throughout the season," Drew Lerner reported.

He added: "Awful Announcing has also learned that those involved with the Football Night in America team are frustrated by how the news is unfolding, with some hearing about potential changes through media reports instead of directly from NBC."

NBC has yet to publicly comment on the changes.
