The Odell Beckham Jr. era has once again ended for the New York Giants.
Back in June, the Giants signed Beckham to a one-year contract. Fans were excited to see him play in New York again, especially since his first stint at MetLife Stadium was a huge success.
Unfortunately for Beckham, the Giants didn’t give a large role on offense this September. In three games this season, the former Offensive Rookie of the Year only logged 20 snaps in John Harbaugh’s offense. He was targeted just once and failed to record a single catch.
On Tuesday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Beckham has been cut ahead of the Giants’ Week 4 matchup.
“OBJ has not been featured much despite earning a spot on the team, and the sides decided a mutual parting was best for everyone,” Schultz said. “This gives him an opportunity to catch on with a team in a better situation, where his talents can be better utilized.”

Have we seen the last of OBJ?
Beckham hasn’t caught a pass in an NFL game since December 8, 2024. There’s a good chance that’ll go down as his last career reception.
At 33 years old, Beckham doesn’t have much left in the tank. And we’re not entirely sure he’s got a clear suitor right now.
Make no mistake though, Beckham has a lot to be proud of. The Super Bowl champion and three-time Pro Bowler has 575 career receptions for 7,987 yards and 59 touchdowns.
