The Atlanta Dream have reportedly figured out where they’ll play their home games for the WNBA Finals.
Even though Atlanta played all of its first-round and semifinal games at State Farm Arena, that venue was considered off limits for the WNBA Finals due to scheduling conflicts. For starters, Sombr has a concert in Atlanta scheduled for Oct. 22, the same day as Game 3 of the WNBA Finals. Game 4, meanwhile, was supposed to interfere with the Atlanta Hawks’ home opener on Oct. 24.
Luckily for the Dream, they’ll get the chance to play in front of 17,000 fans later this week.
According to Zach Klein of WSB-Ch.2 Atlanta, the Dream will play Game 3 and Game 4 at State Farm Arena despite all the recent commotion.
In order to ensure State Farm Arena will host at least two WNBA Finals games, Game 3 has been moved up to Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 8 pm local time. Game 4, on the other hand, will take place at 1 p.m. The Hawks’ home opener has been pushed back to 8:30 p.m local time.

No-brainer for the WNBA.
There were rumblings about the Dream playing their home games for the WNBA Finals at Gateway Center Arena, which only seats 3,500 fans. That would’ve been a huge letdown for Atlanta and the league as a whole.
While changing around the WNBA Finals schedule isn’t ideal, it ensures the Dream will have an incredible atmosphere for their home games.
The WNBA Finals will begin on Oct. 17. The Valkyries are currently slight favorites over the Dream for Game 1.
