We all know what the Las Vegas Raiders will do with the No. 1 overall pick, and we've mostly narrowed down what the New York Jets will do with the No. 2 overall pick. After that, there's a ton of guesswork with what the Arizona Cardinals will do at No. 3.

But one NFL analyst believes that the Dallas Cowboys are a team that could be in play for that third selection in the 2026 NFL Draft tomorrow.

Appearing on Get Up, ESPN NFL analyst Peter Schrager reported that the Cowboys are considering moving up to the No. 3 overall pick. He said that the Cowboys could make a "big swing" if they can't move down and pick up a good haul of picks.

"I have heard talk that the Cowboys might be one of the teams that's moving up all the way to three," Schrager said.

Dallas and the Draft

The Cowboys currently hold the No. 12 and No. 20 (via Green Bay) overall picks in the NFL Draft. However, there are a lot of rumblings that teams are generally not enthralled by the first-round of this year's draft and are far more interested in either moving down to get more picks now or better picks in 2027.

The past four seasons have seen the Cowboys take nothing but linemen in the first round (three offensive linemen and one defensive lineman) and they've taken only one offensive skill position player in the first round since 2017 (CeeDee Lamb, 2020).

With Cowboys owner Jerry Jones growing increasingly impatient at the lack of strides the team has made in getting back to the Super Bowl in recent years, it wouldn't be all that unreasonable for this to be the time to move up and land a serious playmaker.

If Jones were to get the No. 3 pick, he could get exactly that, either with running back Jeremiyah Love, one of several offensive linemen, or an all-world pass rusher.

Even so, moving up from 12 or 20 to three is no small ask. Is it something the Cowboys would truly consider?
