Report: 'All Signs Pointing' To Two Jobs For Brian Daboll

Former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll appears to be a hot commodity this offseason.

Daboll was fired by the Giants on Nov. 10 after a 2-8 start to the 2025 season. The former Coach of the Year finished his tenure in New York with a 20-40-1 overall record. Outside of a surprise playoff run in 2022, he failed to live up to expectations.

Luckily for Daboll, it might not be long before he gets another head coaching job. According to multiple reports, the Buffalo Bills will interview him for their head coaching vacancy. He was Josh Allen's offensive coordinator from 2018-2021 and received plenty of credit for the MVP's development.

If Daboll doesn't get the job in Buffalo, he's expected to call offensive plays for Robert Saleh and the Tennessee Titans. At least that's what The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported on Wednesday.

The Philadelphia Eagles had Daboll as one of their top candidates for their offensive coordinator vacancy. However, it doesn't sound like he'll even consider them at this time.

"The Eagles are conducting their offensive coordinator search with the understanding that Brian Daboll wants the Bills’ head coaching job," Russini said. "If he doesn’t land it, Daboll is expected to wind up in Tennessee as the offensive coordinator for Cam Ward and the Titans."

Where does this leave the Eagles?

Daboll isn't the only prominent coach who has turned down the chance to coach offensive plays for the Eagles. They ultimately struck out in the Mike McDaniel sweepstakes.

"McDaniel and Daboll would have been given autonomy over the offense, sources said. There are a few remaining candidates that would have leverage to get authority, but that doesn’t mean Nick Sirianni won’t hand over the offense, depending upon the coach," Jeff McLane said. "The Eagles have cast a large net, one seemingly larger with McDaniel and Daboll unlikely, and thus the process will continue."

Despite all the talent on their roster, the Eagles ranked 19th in scoring (22.3 points per game) and 18th in rushing yards this season. Most of the blame fell on the shoulders of former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

If Nick Sirianni wants to avoid being on the hot seat, he'll have to bring in the right play-caller this offseason.
