Real Salt Lake have a very important Leagues Cup match tonight when they take on FC Juárez. Real Salt Lake has a chance to reach the quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup but FC Juárez is also a win away from securing a spot in the quarterfinals.
Each MLS and Liga MX team in the Leagues Cup play three games. The teams that finish in the top four positions of the league table in the MLS and Liga MX Leagues Cup table will play in the quarterfinals.
Real Salt Lake will not only need to beat FC Juárez, but they will need other MLS teams to not win their respecive games to finish in the top four positions of the MLS Leagues Cup table.
Real Salt Lake is currently 8th with four points following 4-0 win over Atlante and a 1-1 draw with Tigres.
FC Juárez has been one of the suprises of the 2026 Leagues Cup after winning their first two games. Juárez is currently second in the Liga MX Leagues Cup table with six points.
FC Juárez defeated Minnesota United 2-1 and then defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 away from home. A win for them tonight will see them play in the quarterfinals.
