Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson returned from finger surgery Sunday, but his health remains a concern after the team’s 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Hendrickson missed the previous two games while recovering from the procedure. After facing Cleveland, he was seen waiting outside the stadium’s X-ray room, The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reported. Asked about his health, Hendrickson described it as an “ongoing process.”
The sighting raises questions about his recovery, although it does not confirm a new injury or reveal what the imaging may show. Baltimore has not announced a diagnosis or any further details about his status.
Hendrickson’s return was important for a defense that needed its pass rush against Cleveland. He recorded a sack in the game, according to the Ravens’ official game coverage, giving Baltimore a notable contribution despite the defeat. The team will now await more information before his availability for the next matchup becomes clearer.
The loss made the injury concern more frustrating for Baltimore. The Ravens led 10-0 at halftime but failed to score after the break, allowing Cleveland to rally for a last-second victory.
Andre Szmyt’s 37-yard field goal as time expired sealed the Browns’ 13-10 win and left both teams at 4-2. The Pittsburgh Steelers also stood at 4-2 atop the AFC North.

Hendrickson’s status matters as Baltimore looks to steady its defense after a divisional loss. His recovery from finger surgery had already cost him two games, and any further absence could affect the team’s edge-rushing options. Still, the X-ray-room report alone is not confirmation that he suffered another injury.
For now, the Ravens will need to assess the results and provide an update. Until the team clarifies the situation, Hendrickson’s “ongoing process” remains the clearest public description of his health. That leaves Baltimore with another issue to monitor.
