Baltimore Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy finished the 2025 season with 20 tackles, 2.0 sacks, one interception, and four passes defended across 15 games. His 494 defensive snaps were among the fewest of his career, mirroring a difficult year for the Ravens, who finished 8-9.

Now an unrestricted free agent, Van Noy is weighing his future. He has indicated that if he decides to play in 2026, it will likely be his last season in the NFL.

Beyond the gridiron, the 35-year-old has been carrying a more personal story for years, and eventually, he needed to hire a private investigator to find his siblings. He made that shocking move about four years ago to uncover the details hidden in his sealed adoption file.

In 1991, his biological mother placed him for adoption through LDS Family Services. Layne and Kelly Van Noy adopted him as an infant in Las Vegas and raised him in Reno. His parents were open about the adoption, but because the records were sealed, he got curious about the details since the background was not available.

Appearing on a recent episode of “The Ross Tucker” Podcast, Van Noy said, "About four years ago, I hired a PI and found all that information out. I won't disclose everything, but it was pretty cool to find out all that information.”

He added, “I know I have siblings elsewhere. They don't know. This could be a whole thing. I kind of want to end up doing something with it because they don't know I know, but I know like, everything about their lives."

When Tucker asked if he had reached out to them, Van Noy said no. He acknowledged the weight of the decision, noting that once you open that door, you can't close it.

Van Noy and his wife, Marissa, founded the Van Noy Valor Foundation in 2014, built specifically around adopted children and foster care kids transitioning out of the system.

A major part of their work specifically targets "aging out" youth by helping them with education, housing, and life skills. This mission is directly inspired by Kyle’s own experience as an adoptee.

The foundation’s signature events include backpack giveaways to prepare students for the school year and the A Very Van Noy Christmas program. During these holiday events, the foundation has provided live Christmas trees, tree stands, ornaments, and gifts to hundreds of families.
